See Jason Surguine's article, Emulators: Rated & Reviewed, for details on each of the emulators below, along with hints and tips for getting the best performance out of them.
Notes: The Yame link provides a machine translation of the Japanese original. Although the emulator starts up in Japanese by default, there is a menu option to change the language to English.
Notes: Requires a PalmOS ROM image to operate. Unfortunately, this project is currently on hold following a statement from the author in which he reveals that, "I myself and my company have encountered some legal problems, I'm not going to divulge the what's and who's, nor am I in the power of disclosing anything; I guess you all know what I'm referring to. Therefore this project is set on ice till these legal problems have been solved."

Emulates: SCUMM (an interpreter used by various old LucasArts adventure titles, such as Monkey Island).
Notes: Based on Vasyl Tsvirkunov's Pocket PC port of ScummVM (originally written by Ludvig Strigeus, currently being coded by Vincent 'Yazoo' Hamm and James 'Ender' Brown).
Emulates: SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System).
Notes: Based on the PocketSNES source code, this port is designed to offer maximum speed. Designed specifically for the ARM-based iPAQ H36xx series, so may not work on all devices. The October 9th release is reported to be the fastest. Unfortunately, the homepage for this emulator currently appears to be down.

Notes: Based on the PocketSNES source code, this port by Scott Ramsby is "most recent, up-to-date, test releases of the emulator. They usually include fixes and optimizations that have not yet been fully tested or incorporated into the official release."

Notes: For the latest version, check out the downloads page. Below are download links older versions which may lack of some of the features in the most recent releases but are reportedly faster and therefore more playable:
